On our 6th day of the cruise we docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Even though we only had a few short hours (7am-12pm) we wanted to take advantage of an excursion offered by Royal Caribbean. This zip lining tour was $150 per person (transportation to and from the zip lining included). I had a great time zip lining in Costa Rica a few years back and was really excited to go again!

When you disembark from the cruise ship, you are directed to a bus that will take you to the zip lining course. You wind up through old San Juan and through the rain forest until you arrive at La Marquesa forest. La Marquesa Canopy Tour was the company that sponsored the excursion. When you get there, they give you a harness, gloves and a helmet. The guides teach you how to safely zip line, so there is very little risk. They have an 8 platform zip line and a bonus repelling platform. Each platform gets progressively longer and faster. They also offer pictures for $18 per helmet. Each helmet had an RFID chip and ties pictures that are taken to the helmet.

Even though we were only in Puerto Rico for a short time, we made the most of it with this zip line tour. We were able get a birds eye view of the rain forest and it was worth every penny. If you ever have the opportunity to zip line, I would take advantage of it!
