The new year is here and I want to create new goals to achieve this year. Goal setting (and having it written down for the whole world to see) is known to be helpful in achieving something that you have in mind. In my opinion, many people who make goals are more likely to stick to them than people who make a resolution. Goals to me are a progressive change until you achieve what you set out to do, but even when you achieve that goal you can modify it to keep going! I want to make changes for the positive this year in not only my personal life but my professional life.
- Eat Healthier- I know this is something a lot of us want to achieve. I am going to start to document more of my meals in a journal to keep my self in check. I also am going to be taking pictures and videos of my meals to help keep on track!
- Workout more- I used to run 4-5 times a week and after I had a should injury over a year ago I completely fell off the workout wagon. I have a spin studio that I go to, I’m going to try pilates, and I’m starting at a new gym. I will be taking pictures (sorry for the future gym selfies) and documenting my gym journey this year.
- Be present- I know I said this in my post after the new year, but this is so important to me. Being present with the people that are right next to you is one of the easier and most fulfilling ways to change your life. Putting down the phone or tablet to have conversations and connect with people is so important. Especially in this day and age when it is so easy to just float by with your head in the “cloud.”
- Continue my education- I’m not sure where 2018 will take my educational journey, but I will keep you all posted on that. I am constantly thinking about what I could do and by the end of this year I will be making a decision on what I want to do with my future.
I may be modifying these goals as the year goes on, hopefully by adding more to them. 2018 is going to be a great year for all of us and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
